Additional Names:
Gamma-Glutamylcyclotransferase, Cytochrome C-Releasing Factor 21, GGCT, C7orf24, CRF21
Application Note:
This recombinant protein can be used for biological assays. For research use only.
Background:
Human γ-Glutamylcyclotransferase belongs to the Transferases family, specifically the Aminoacyltransferase. Gamma-Glutamylcyclotransferase catalyzes the formation of 5-Pxoproline from Gamma-Glutamyl Dipeptides. It plays an important role in Glutathione Homeostasis. Gamma-Glutamylcyclotransferase induces the release of Cytochrome C from the mitochondria resulting in the induction of apoptosis.
Buffer:
Supplied as a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20mM TrisHCl, pH 8.0. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml.
