Chickens were immunized with peanut (Arachis hypogaea) protein extract. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected and the immunoglobulin fraction prepared. Antibodies were immunoaffinity purified using the peanut proteins immobilized on a solid support and conjugated to horseradish peroxidase.
