Proglumide is a cholecystokinin antagonist, which blocks both the CCKA and CCKB subtypes. Proglumide is a drug that exerts an inhibitory effect on gastric secretion and reduces gastrointestinal motility. It is used clinically in the drug therapy of gastrointestinal ulcers.
