FABP7 Antibody: MRG, BLBP, FABPB, B-FABP, MRG, Fatty acid-binding protein, brain, Brain lipid-binding protein
Western blot: 2-5 ug/ml
Provided assay concentrations are suggestions only, FABP7 antibody titration may be required for optimal results.
Fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) are proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and are thought to be involved in fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism. FABP7, also known as Brain lipid binding protein or BLBP, is essential for fetal brain development, and has been found to be important in brain and breast cancer, with opposing prognoses. It is a glioblastoma stem cell marker, highly expressed in the astrocyte-derived tumor cells and an indicator of poor prognosis. Abundant expression in basal-like/triple negative (ER-, PR-, HER2-) breast cancer cells, particularly with only nuclear expression, indicates a positive prognosis.
